Highlights on tattoos and the art form.
I remember a good friend of mine back in secondary school who set her right breast aglow with a paw print UV tattoo. Turned out pretty neat. When used alone, the results are surprising, a tease. When traditional and UV ink are used creatively together; much like a highlighter, it's nothing short of stunning. Aren't you just itching to get inked now? I know I am.

COOL! You mean the UV effect is permanent like traditional tattoos? Amazing.
wow! i would like mine to be zouk's logo. tat way i get lifetime membership!
Hahahah HL that's a pretty neat idea! The Zouk UV stamp!!!! And to answer your question Beng, yup the UV effect is permanent just like a normal tattoo. Of course the subsequent re-touches need to be done every few years like every other tattoo.
There is minimal scarring after the UV tattoo has completely healed. See the last pic with the guy who tattooed the anatomy structure on his arm. You can see the red outline, that's the scarring; which heals with time to look like the 3rd pic (the hand).
That's damn cool! where can i get it done??
This is to my knowledge.
1)Check for FDA approved inks. They contain less or almost no irritants.
2)Do your research. Find a good tattoo artist. UV ink is more watery and harder to work with than traditional ink and does not blend. It requires the artist to sit with the black light on when tattooing.
3)Due to the above, expect to pay a little bit more for it.
4)Be prepared to go back for touch-ups, just like any other tattoo.
If you are serious about getting one done, I recommend Alive Tattoo here in Singapore. I've had many friends go back again and again to get inked there. :) NO PAIN NO GAIN!!
